Patrick Colbeck is currently serving his second term in elected office as the State Senator for Michigan’s 7th District. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Aerospace Engineering as well as a graduate of the International Space University in Strasbourg, France. Included among his over 20 years of engineering and management work in a variety of industries, he has worked on systems for the International Space Station and instructed students at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center’s Space Camp.
The Senator is a co-founder and board member for the Freedom Center hospitality center at Metro Airport and the Troy Military Entrance Processing Station. The Senator has received numerous awards including the Senator Paul Fannin Statesman of the Year Award for his leadership in making MI the 24thRight to Work state and Legislator of the Year Awards from The Senior Alliance, Police Officers Association, and Associated Builders and Contractors.
He lives with his wife, Angie, in Canton.
