FLAT ROCK, Mich. – The Metro Shores Credit Union held a ground breaking ceremony to celebrate the opening of a new branch in Flat Rock. The event was hosted by the Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, August 24.
"This ground breaking is exciting for Michigan,” Sen. Patrick Colbeck (R-Canton) remarked. This is one of the businesses that helps other businesses get rolling. We are excited about the opportunity for additional jobs in the downriver area.”
Founded in 1958, Metro Shores Credit Union operates more than twenty bank branches throughout southeast Michigan. The new addition is located at the intersection of Telegraph and Vreeland Roads in Flat Rock.
The Senator had planned on attending the ground breaking ceremony on Wednesday; committee meetings in Lansing, however, ran longer than previously anticipated.
