Colbecks Senate office is open and ready for business

LANSING—State Sen. Patrick Colbeck announced that his Lansing office is open and ready to meet the needs of constituents in the 7th Senate District.

“I take seriously the title of ‘public servant,’” said Colbeck, R-Canton. “The office is up and running, and my staff and I are excited to serve the residents of the 7th District.”

On January 12 Colbeck was joined in Lansing by his wife Angie, father Bill Colbeck, other family members and several dozen residents for the first day of Senate session and a ceremonial swearing-in on the Senate floor. Colbeck was officially sworn in on Jan. 3 in Plymouth before Chief Justice Robert Young, Jr.

“This office belongs to the people of the 7th District and I am humbled by the trust and faith placed in me to serve the people of Michigan in this capacity,” Colbeck said. “One of my goals as a legislator is to make state government more customer-service-oriented, and that starts with my office.

“I encourage people to contact my office with any questions, comments or concerns they may have. My staff and I will do our best to address those concerns.”

The 7th Senate District includes the cities of Belleville, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Northville (part), Plymouth, Rockwood, Trenton and Woodhaven; and the townships of Brownstown, Canton, Grosse Ile, Huron, Northville, Plymouth, Sumpter and Van Buren.
