Education Accountability

There are many ways of ensuring accountability for how effectively our taxpayer dollars for education are spent.  Sen. Colbeck believes that the more local our primary accountability mechanism is will lead to better results and fewer education dollars drained from classrooms into administration.  In a school choice environment, parents and students have the mobility necessary to hold schools accountable for their performance.  Top-down accountability systems mandated by federal or state government merely increase the diversion of education dollars away from the classroom.
